Taiwan makers to ship 21.32 million handsets in 3Q10, says Digitimes Research

Taiwan handset makers are forecast to ship 21.32 million units and 25.49 million units in the third and fourth quarters of 2010, respectively, up 28.2% and 53.4% on year to account for 6% of global shipments in the second half.

The bullish outlook is based on strong smartphone sales from HTC and projection on JDM and ODM orders from international brand vendors including Nokia, LG Electronics, Sony Ericsson and Motorola.
