Retailers, Advertisers Love Cube Portable, Plug & Play Interactive Projection Floor
Dynamic interactive advertising display system now offers networking, system/user metrics, Win7.
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- GestureTek announced that its new turnkey, plug and play interactive projection floor, called the Cube, has significantly beat sales forecasts for retailers, advertisers and exhibit fabricators.
Several high-volume retail chains have deployed the Cube in multiple stores because it requires no technician to install and is ready to run a 5' by 4' interactive projection experience as soon as it's taken out of the box. Simply plug it in and turn it on. One North American apparel chain installed over 250 Cubes as digital playgrounds, after results from the pilot program suggested a sales increase in stores where the Cube was installed as part of a store redesign.
"When deployed in retail chains, our Cube interactive technology creates engagement with clients' branded interactive experiences," says Vincent John Vincent, President of GestureTek. "Moms in particular seem to appreciate the physical engagement and entertainment benefits of this interactive gesture-controlled visual display system provides for kids. They therefore tend to spend more time and money in the store."
Another leading consumer appliance company launching a new brand in over 50 stores used the Cube interactive floor projection system. A branded interactive virtual reality interactive game promotion ran on the Cube to supplement the company's product advertising campaign. The campaign both entertained customers and educated them on the product, while significantly improving brand awareness.
Many other organizations, such as museums, science centers and consumer products companies, have used the portable, lightweight, easy-to-use Cube as the centerpiece of their traveling exhibits, trade show booths, special events and touring promotions.
The most recent release of the Cube featured several improvements designed to enhance ROI for customers. The Cube is now Win7 compatible. It also comes complete with a comprehensive system and user metrics package and networking options, making it possible to conduct remote diagnostics, as well as remotely change content or upload or download applications to multiple Cubes from a single server. GestureTek's content development team has also begun customizing an exciting library of Cube applications that can be purchased, including kid-oriented games targeted for sale to schools and educational institutions, and sports-oriented applications targeted for sale to hospitality outlets, stores, stadiums and sporting event organizers.
"There's no question that the Cube can add value to any business - whether it's in the form of more product sales, more visitor traffic or a more fulfilling user experience," said Erol Vekil, Global Director of Business Development.
"The list of retail organizations that have used GestureTek technology for their interactive retail displays and gesture control advertising is growing, and now includes LG Electronics, Clearwire, Old Navy, Hugo Boss, Virgin Megastores, Cingular AT&T Wireless, The Children's Place, Target, Samsung Stores, Hudson Bay Company, Sony Stores, T-Mobile Stores and Sears," says Vincent. "Retailers and advertising agencies are looking for a solutions provider who can integrate technical and installation expertise with an in-depth understanding of their unique business challenges – and that's what GestureTek aims to provide."
