Consumption of telematics services to customers of MTS in 2010 doubled

Operator MTS has summarized the initial results of M2M projects. According to the operator, and numerous projects in various regions of Russia show that the introduction of telematics in the control and management system allows companies to reduce operating costs by an average of 20-25% by optimizing the personnel costs, utilities and components, reduce accidents and improve the quality of services provided . Such projects are especially significant in the field of housing, gas and oil, as much lower accident rate and improve the quality of life of people in the regions.

Thus, in the Kursk MTS and Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Kursk, a subsidiary of Gazprom, have created a high-tech system of monitoring and accounting of gas consumption in homes. The contract MTS in March 2011 the company delivered about 1000 of telematics SIM-cards, which are used for automatic data exchange between devices that measured the level of gas consumption in homes and enterprise servers. The system works automatically and allows you to receive and process information on the amount of gas consumed at each specific site, to analyze the sources of increased gas consumption and to prevent any abnormality.

In Kazan, MTS and Kazan: Energy Center are implementing a project on remote monitoring of residential and social and cultural infrastructure that allows customers through automatic exchange of data between servers, "Kazan Energy Service Center" and devices that measured the energy consumption level, quickly select the optimal modes of operation of equipment, plan for power consumption for various real property and carry out energy-saving measures. In general, the modernization program monitoring systems can increase the reliability and stability of electricity supply to homes, as well as responsiveness to address emerging technical issues.
