Version 2.2 - the most common version of Androi
Nine months after the release of Android 2.2 version of the OS has become the most common modification of the operating system. Now according to Google 61,3% of all the Android-devices running Android Froyo. Next in popularity is the earlier Android 2.1, which accounted for 29%. But the newer versions have not found wide spread - the rate of introduction later slowed: Android 2.3 and 2.3.3, together gaining less than 2%. Another less common version found for tablets Android 3.0 Honeycomb, which accounts for only 0,2% of users. This, however, explained by the low prevalence of tablets that are running this operating system.
But such a distribution of the operating system benefits for application developers. The most popular Android 2.2 and 2.1 in total cover more than 90% of all users, allowing them to focus on, not spray on a variety of versions. Older models have not received an upgrade to later versions of the OS, occupies about 7% to the same API Android compatible, and so applications have been released for versions 1.5 and 1.6 can also work in later versions. Thus we can say that Google is able to cope with the unfavorable situation in which a variety of OS versions complicated the process of developing applications for them.
