Sony VAIO Z laptop video demo
JAPANESE ELECTRONICS GIANT Sony was in town today and kindly gave The INQUIRER a look at its latest laptop, the Viao Z.
It's a quite compact machine that has some serious specifications. It also comes with a couple of accessories in the Power Media Dock and an optional 'sheet battery'.
The Viao Z laptop has an Intel Sandy Bridge Core i7 processor that can clock up to 3.4GHz with Turbo Boost, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. The 13.1in display has an anti-reflective screen and 1600x900 resolution.
The Power Media Dock has an external optical drive - optional Blu-ray - and also an AMD Radeon HD 6650M graphics card in it. Sony expects its Viao Z laptop to be available at the end of July and says it will cost around £2,000 with the dock.
