Tele2 has summed up the second quarter of 2011
Russian office of the European telecommunications company Tele2 AB announced its consolidated financial and operating results for the second quarter of 2011. In the second quarter of 2011, the company has demonstrated steady growth in key financial indicators. Thus, operating revenues increased by 22.9% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 12.8 billion rubles. EBITDA for the whole of Russia amounted to 5 billion rubles, an increase of 32% compared to the second quarter of 2010. In the second quarter of 2011 were also improved core operating performance: company's subscriber base increased by 19.3% over the same period last year, the cumulative number of subscribers in Russia amounted to 19.705 million people. Average revenue per user (ARPU) increased by 1.4% in ruble terms, compared to the same period last year and amounted to 220 rubles. The average number of minutes used (MoU) in Russia as a whole was 243, compared to the second quarter of 2010 rose by 4.6%. In 2011, the operator plans to maintain the level of investment in its network, which will amount to 16.9% of revenues.
