Here is the LG "Univa"
We stumbled across some sequel to Optimus One.
We have mysteriously obtained a copy of the LG E510, which currently has the working name Univa.
This is the phone that will take over from last year's success Optimus One , and is the same as its predecessor, an Android model in the class.
VERY SOLID
The first thing that strikes us when we hold the universe in your hand is that it feels incredible sound out, and weigh more than you would think from the pictures.
LG Univa is very well built.
Brash and glossy back.
Quality was feeling some of what we liked most about Optimus One, LG has also made an equally good job this time.
The phone is also pocket friendly, and is slightly more compact than the HTC S . This is a size that suits you that neither will have a very big or too small mobile phone.
GOOD SCREEN
The screen has a size of 3.5 inches, which puts it on "approved-level" for surfing, movies and other tasks where it is okay with a little space. Resolution of 320 x 480 NOK impresses no one but the image is still sharp and nice.
The screen is good, despite the somewhat low resolution.
The screen also has a good response when you press it, and register up to eight points at the same time.
ANDROID 2.3.4
When LG drove out Optimus One , they were among the first manufacturers to adopt Android 2.2. This time, the manufacturer thought to be early with the latest Android release, and has been in place Gingerbread 2.3.4 in the universe.
Android 2.3.4 is in place.
LG has also put in place its own menu system, which basically does not provide the major differences from the original system. It's really okay, we think.
MEDIUM HEAVY
A quick look at the system info in Univa reveals a processor running at 800 MHz, 512 MB memory and graphics chip Adreno 200 The latter is the predecessor of Adreno 205, which was responsible for Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and HTC S .
This means that the phone most likely run on Qualcomm MSM7230 chip system, that is the same as standing in Motorola Defy and HTC Z . The piece is relatively old will NOK also reflected in the price.
The processor is ticking at 800 MHz.
Graphics chip is not the strongest, but keeps NOK to this resolution.
Despite the media hardware, we experience the performance as good, and the phone is quick to the trigger. Here comes one of the advantages of the relatively low resolution forward because it required far less power to run 320 x 480 pixels than running 480 x 800 pixels.
Since we are talking about a very early version of the phone, we will be careful to think too much here, since much can change before it is released officially.
LARGE BATTERY CAPACITY
LG decided to not hold back when they were selecting the battery to Univa. Here is a variant with 1500 mAh, which is standard in much more demanding phones than this. We consider therefore that it is safe to assume that the battery life of this will be well above average.
IS IT GOOD?
Considering that last year's Optimus One went like hotcakes, there is no doubt that there is potential for phones like this in the Norwegian market. However, what has changed since the last is that it has turned up a load of Android phones at affordable prices, so LG has a tougher battle in store this year.
We know little about the launch date and price, but our sample does not exactly very unfinished, so the final version is NOK not very far away. LG has also had a very aggressive pricing of its phones far this year, so we will not be surprised if this ends up at around 1500 million.
