MTS has implemented a comprehensive project to monitor transport in Sochi

Operator MTS within the X International Investment Forum "Sochi-2011" announced the launch of a comprehensive project to monitor urban transport Sochi. With the help of telematics services in the MTS are monitored more than 3,000 units of passenger and freight transport, equipped with mobile terminals GLONASS / GPS / GSM. The project MTS provides services based on M2M tehnologiy1 50 transport companies of Sochi, which allows for monitoring the movement of buses and taxis, trucks and special equipment, as well as ambulances and construction equipment involved in the preparations for the 2014 Olympics. One of the major integrators of the project is LLC "Navigator-South." The introduction of M2M technology in the operating activities of transport companies to optimize the logistics of the company, increase productivity in the enterprise by an average of 20% 2 due to the strict observance of the established routes, reduce the depreciation costs and fuel costs by optimizing routes, to ensure the safety of transportation and improve the quality of operational management and speed of response in emergency situations. The number of SIM-cards of MTS in Russia involved in telematic services, in the first half of 2011 increased by 60% to 820 thousand. Among the clients of MTS using telematics solutions - large Russian companies that provide security and monitoring of transport: Cesar Satellite, Megapage, Echelon, the big banks: Sberbank, Uralsib, Barclays, BSGV; energy sector companies: Gazprom, IDC, MIPC, Waterworks.
