Opera and iG bring better browsing to Brazil
Opera Software and one of Brazil’s top portals, Internet Group do Brasil (iG) announced a partnership to offer premium content to Brazilian users of the Opera Mini mobile browser and the Opera desktop browser.
iG’s content will now be available to Brazilian mobile and desktop web users via Opera Mini’s and Opera for desktop’s Speed Dial and bookmarks features. The iG website will be one of the pre-allocated sites on the Speed Dial start page, which is an easier, faster way of accessing favorite sites in all versions of the Opera browser.
“iG partnering with Opera means Brazilians will now get the best of content and browsing in one place,” said Glaucia Sayuri, Product Director at iG. “We are proud to be associated with Opera, which is known for its innovative, user-friendly features and its speed enabling our users to browse our content a lot faster with high quality standards.”
More than 55 million people use Opera on their desktops each month, because it provides a superior web experience. Opera Mini, the world’s most used mobile browser, has more than 120 million active monthly users and two billion daily page views.
“Opera has always believed in listening to its users and giving them what they want,” said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. “By partnering with iG, Opera is giving its Brazilian fans easy access to content from one of the most popular news sources in the country.”
To use the iG-optimized Opera Mini browser, type m.opera.com into your device’s browser. For the desktop browser, to go www.opera.com to download.
