Opera buys Handster Inc.

Opera Software has announced the acquisition of Handster - one of the largest developers of shopping platforms for mobile applications. The headquarters is located in the United States Handster (Norsbruk, Ill.), and some operations performed in Odessa (Ukraine). The company owns the world's largest independent library of content for the platform Android, which enables us to provide services to mobile operators, device manufacturers and application stores all over the world. Range of services includes Handster platform for application stores (white-label), content management, development tools, monitoring of content and provision of financial transactions. Handster supports applications for Android, Java, Symbian, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, as well as notebook and tablet PCs . The company's clients - the largest mobile operators, suppliers of mobile platforms, as well as manufacturers of mobile phones and other devices, such as MTS, Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Huawei and LG. Launched in March this year, Opera Mobile Store is today among the top 10 the largest shopping application. It is available to users of virtually any mobile phone, including devices based on iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Java, Symbian, and also offers a web-based content.
