MTS Ukraine launched its first CDMA base stations, the new generation
The mobile operator "MTS Ukraine" announced the launch of the Kiev region of the first base station that supports data transfer standard CDMA2000 1hEV-DO EV-DO Rev.B / B +, providing higher data transmission to users of the service "MTS Connect 3G».
As part of a comprehensive program to transfer CDMA-MTS on a new standard for CDMA2000 1hEV-DO EV-DO Rev.B / B +, the operator established professionals in more than one base station (BS) in Kyiv region Modules Alcatel MC-EVM. The equipment that performs the function of forming a radio channel, and offers compatibility with the new technology BS.
After installing the module on all BS, MTS, proceed to the final stage of transition to Rev.B / B + - expanding the network core and the preparation of the transport network that supports data transmission between the BS. In addition, during the current year and next MTS plans to build and expand the order of 500 base stations as part of a program to increase the existing pavement and increase the overall capacity of CDMA-network operator.
At the moment, all CDMA-network "MTS Ukraine" program provided support for technology Rev.B by installing a software solution CDMA Multi Carrier EV-DO Revision B / B + (MC EV-DO). This already allows merging three carriers, they can exchange data at speeds of 9.3 / 5,4 MB / s (transmit / receive data) per user. In the future, the total index of the rate will be increased to 14,7 / 5,4 MB / sec.
MTS plans to launch commercial network standard Rev.B / B + and release modems to work with the new version of the service early next year. Project implementation and testing technology CDMA2000 EV-DO Rev.B / B + is supported by the companies Alcatel-Lucent and "SITRONICS Information Technologies."
