"Kyivstar" implements access control to web-based solutions Blue Coat

Ukrainian mobile operator "Kyivstar" reported that, with the assistance of "Jet Infosystems," concluded the implementation of access control systems to the Internet, built on technology-based Blue Coat. From the words of the company, it is the largest implementation of solutions to the Blue Coat telecom sector in Ukraine.

The hardware-software complex of Blue Coat is designed to control Internet traffic, including user authentication, filtering, traffic, prevent leaks, blocking malicious sites and other features. Single console management of the complex in combination with flexible construction of the processing rules allow content service system, utilizing the minimum number of administrators.

First of all hardware and software system has been deployed Blue Coat at the central office "Kyivstar". For this purpose have been developed and implemented policies control access rights of users to online resources, the necessary hardware settings, after which the solution is integrated into the existing IT infrastructure and information security statement. At the end of the period of trial operation range has been introduced in all branches of "Kyivstar". Currently, the system provides access control to the Internet all employees - both at headquarters and in branch offices.

Now consider options for further development of the project. For example, the use of embedded systems as a platform to deliver new services to subscribers, "Kyivstar".
