MTS completed the modernization of equipment in the west and south of the Moscow Region


The mobile operator MTS announced a 100% upgrade 2G networks in 15 districts in the western and southern suburbs, which allowed him to increase the capacity of cellular networks in these regions, improve the reliability of the provision of voice services and data services.

As stated by the operator, as part of its technical experts spent replacing about 1,000 base stations in the intellectual equipment Nokia Siemens Networks, which can operate in GSM and 3G, and eventually - be used to provide services to LTE. The modernization of networks produced in Volokolamsk, Domodedovo, Istra, Krasnogorsk, Lenin, Lotoshskom, Mozhaisk, Naro-Fominsk, Odintsovo, Podolsk, Ruza, Serpukhov, Stupino, Chekhov and the Moscow region Shakhovskoi areas.

After completing the network upgrade within the Ring Road at the end of 2011, MTS in the first quarter, an additional set in Moscow, about 500 new base stations for 2G and 3G in Moscow. 3G coverage increased by 20% due to the parametric configuration of equipment and technological development of the network.
