"Beeline" Business will make GLONASS operator in Perm

The mobile operator "Beeline" announced the launch of the project for implementation of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) in the Perm region.

Under the agreement the Quadripartite Agreement on cooperation in the field of navigation activity between the governor of Perm region, JSC "VimpelCom", the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia in the region in the first quarter of 2013 will be a Regional Navigation and Information Centre (RNITS).

Software and hardware system RNITS will work on the infrastructure of "VimpelCom", acting as the intermediary between regional carriers and automated control and monitoring center (ATSKN) Rostransnadzor. The center will consolidate all the information from carriers and do AKTSN.

Recall that, in accordance with federal law and the agreement signed at the center Rostransnadzor must do all of the data on the movement of school buses, ambulances, vehicles carrying dangerous or large loads, utility vehicles and all vehicles carrying passengers from a total of eight and more.
