SAMSUNG EXPLAINS LACK FM-RADIO GALAXY S4

After the announcement of Samsung Galaxy S4 many a question - why the Korean company decided to abandon support for FM-radio in its top product, because this option is still in demand by consumers?

FM - is a single small chip with multiple binding. By itself, it is worth quite a bit, though not installed - this board space and additional work for engineers.

Hi-Tech.Mail.Ru asked to comment on the lack of FM-chip in the Galaxy S4 Russian representation of Samsung and received an official response:

Our studies show a trend shift of interest to digital broadcasting, namely - focus on listening to music content in social networks or on the channel YouTube. The flagship model of our products are focused on customers who use digital content, which use modern formats and channels of information consumption.

Despite the fact that the consumer interest shifts to digital content, the audience at the FM-radio is still large, which fully confirms the survey that we conducted, which is currently attended by over 11,000 people.

Despite the fact that the majority of FM-radio in the smartphone does not need more than 40% of respondents use this option. This is too much interest to ignore.

In fairness it should be noted that in one of the U.S. version of the previous flagship Galaxy S III (SGH-T999, for the operator T-Mobile) has not had a radio that did not cause much of complaints from customers.
