Ericsson Plan to Provision Solution named 2012 Cable Spotlight Product of the Year Award
Ericsson Plan to Provision solution featuring the Ericsson Network Engineer product, acknowledged by TMC for exceptional innovation
Scalable system that streamlines engineering work order management and accurately tracks network assets
Helps cable operators maintain accurate, consistent and accessible inventory information across multiple areas of the business
Ericsson has been awarded a 2012 Cable Spotlight Product of the Year Award for its Network Engineer product from Cable.TMCnet.com, a TMC sponsored cable technology website. The Cable Spotlight Product of the Year Award recognizes products that have contributed to the advancement of cable technology solutions.
Ericsson Network Engineer is a scalable, Geographical Information System (GIS) based network management system that helps operators streamline engineering work order management and accurately track all network assets, from fiber and coax cabling to equipment all the way to the customer premises.
"Cable operators are conducting significant network upgrades to bring fiber closer to the customer in order to competitively offer a variety of next-generation services to consumers," said Elisabetta Romano, Vice President and Head of OSS and Service Enablement, Business Unit Support Solutions, Ericsson. "Without the right support tools, planning, designing, maintaining and documenting these changes to constantly expanding networks can quickly become a bottleneck to service rollout."
Network Engineer is helping cable operators to maintain accurate, consistent and accessible inventory information across multiple areas of the business. mThis allows them to operate more efficiently, work faster, make more informed decisions and target more strategically when servicing or marketing to customers.
