Micromax A116 Canvas HD Android 4.2 update now available

Micromax’s popular Android phablet A116 Canvas HD is now getting official Android 4.2 update. Available via the company’s service center network, the update will bring 4.2.1 Android build to the device.

This update is not rolling-out over-the-air but the company has reportedly included OTA update support in the current software release, so you might get future update over-the-air.

First reported by MMXNewscaster, Micromax A116 Android 4.2 update brings fix for delay in GPS location lock and adds panorama shot feature in camera app. The update also adds the quick toggles to notification panel along with other features like offline voice typing and performance improvements.

Originally launched in February this year, Micromax A116 has been quite popular among consumers because of the impressive feature in affordable pricing. The phone was launched with Android 4.1.2 on-board and it is first major update for the phablet.
