"VimpelCom" introduces a new organizational structure and conducts new appointments

The JSC "VimpelCom" announced the introduction of a new top-level structure based on the principle of separation of business segment, and new appointments to senior management of the Company.

To improve efficiency and centralize the management of massive and corporate segments of the business, accelerate bringing products and services to market and decision-making, strengthening the interaction between the key features that provide the customer experience at different stages of the "life" of the subscriber, the Company will be formed by two parts: the development business in the mass market and business development in the corporate market. Both units will have a symmetrical structure and include functional units responsible for marketing and sales in their respective segments.

The newly created unit of business development for the mass market will head Alexander Popovski as Executive Vice President. Alexander Popovski will go to the Board of the Company.

Block of business development in the corporate market will continue to lead Andrey Patoka to the new position of executive vice president of business development in the corporate market.

Executive Vice President of Business Development for the mass market, and executive vice president of business development in the corporate market will report directly to the Director-General "VimpelCom".

The new structure also involves changes in the organization of interaction between Headquarters and regional offices. In order to improve management efficiency, the vertical acceleration of business processes and operational decision-making, the Director of macro-regions (with the exception of the Moscow region) become subordinate to the Vice-President of Regional Operations Dmitry LAPITSKY. Vice President, Director of the Moscow region Artem Nitz, is directly subordinate to the Director General.

All changes will take effect from 17 June 2013.
