74% of all stolen or broken electronic devices - phones and smart phones
Analytical center "Alfa Insurance" has investigated insurance claims that occurred with the phones, navigators, electronic books, notebooks and tablet PCs, the insured since the beginning of 2013 under the "protection of purchase" from theft and damage. The most risky devices are mobile phones and smartphones. They account for 74% of reported cases of insurance: 46% - and 28% of smartphones - mobile phones. Next, in descending order followed by tablet computers - 10% of insurance claims, electronic books - 8%, the laptop - 5%, navigators - 3%. 64% of reported cases occur in insurance theft of electronic devices, and just over one-third - 36% - for their failure. According to the study "Alfa Insurance", in the summer months, significantly increasing the number of thefts of mobile devices and smartphones - in June, the frequency of thefts exceeded the average for six months at 34% in May - 21%: the average rate for the six months amounted to 0.28% (the proportion of stolen phones from the total number of insured), in June and July - 0.38% and 0.34%, respectively. The most "quiet" month for the first six months came in January - the frequency of thefts accounted for 0.13%. The small size of mobile devices, but the price is high enough and a simple sales process through the buyers make phones for thieves is not less interesting than the purses. At the same time, not all the victims go to the police and the reality of the number of thefts may be an order of magnitude greater. The most "vulnerable" in terms of damage are tablet computers. The average frequency of the claimed damage is higher than on other devices by 41%. Peak electronic security devices came on March 8, at this time in the role of the main buyers were men - 86% of purchases.
