What to expect after the update
Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up your media files prior to upgrading the software. For information on backing up and restoring your phone using Samsung Kies, click here.
How to update
From the Home screen, touch Menu Menu key > Settings Settings Shortcut > About device > Software update > Check for updates.
Touch OK.
Touch Continue.
The device will automatically start downloading the software update. Once complete, the device will restart.
Please wait until your phone reboots completely, and then select Done to finish.
How to verify the update
From the Home screen, touch Menu Menu key > Settings Settings Shortcut > More Settings More Tab Icon > About device About Device Icon.
The following information will be displayed:
Android version: 4.3
Baseband version: I317UCUBMK6
Build number: JSS15J.I317UCUBMK6

On Sept 11, 2013, a software update for the Samsung Galaxy Note II (i317) will be available to AT&T customers. This update is being pushed to customers via firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) using Wi-Fi.
This update is only available for devices that have been upgraded to Android 4.1.2.
To verify the updated software version, go to Settings > About device.

AT&T released a software update for the Samsung Galaxy Note II (i317). This update is being pushed to customers via firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) using Wi-Fi. This update is only available for devices that have been upgraded to Android 4.1.2. To verify the updated software version, go to Settings > About device.
