Developer World becomes Developer World Mobile

This week we are proud to launch the brand new Sony Developer World web portal at http://developer.sony.com. This portal includes APIs, SDKs and links to different sectors within Sony. You’ll easily find all the Sony devices that you can develop for, and learn how to start developing for them. As this site replaces our existing Developer World, we have decided to rename this website as Developer World Mobile. Click to learn more about this change.

The ambition of the new Sony Developer World portal is to make it the starting point for any third party developers looking for Sony SDKs, APIs or other developer resources. So if you’re looking for devices that you can develop for, and how to find developer support from Sony, this portal is the place to go to. For example, you could find a Sony Google TV Add-on SDK, and a Camera Remote API beta SDK for Sony Action Cams and Lens style cameras.

Developer World =  10 years
As most of you know, the name Developer World has existed within Sony and Sony Ericsson for over ten years, and now we’re lifting it up to the new web portal to span over the full Sony world of developers.

While we are moving the name to the new portal, we have decided to rename our existing Sony Mobile developer website as Developer World Mobile. We will continue to run the site as before – so this will still be the place where you’ll find all developer information related to Sony’s mobile devices.
