LG Smart TVs get free Spotify app in time for Christmas
LG has announced that Spotify will be coming to its Smart TVs just in time for Christmas. All those Christmas knock-off songs are ready to be played from your big screen to drown out the din of Christmas cheer this year.
The app arrives at a strange time, as will it only work for premium account users. But Spotify has recently announced that its tablet and smartphone app will now work as online with a free advert-based system. This won’t be available to TV users yet.

Richard Choi, senior vice-president of the Smart Business Centre at LG Electronics, said: "The app brings a vast catalogue of music from practically every genre imaginable into the living rooms of our valued customers."
The app will have integration that allows for sharing with Facebook and Twitter connections. Those new to the service will get a one-month free trlal for Spotify premium.
Spotify will be available on LG Smart TVs from mid-December.
