Top 6 Android games for the summer season

Summer is finally here and many of you will undoubtedly be heading out for a long summer road trip, a holiday in the sun or maybe you’re planning a relaxing staycation.

If you’re travelling long hours then what better time to get out your smartphone and pass the time on some of the best Android games out there? Google Play Store is filled with fun games that are perfect for the summer, and we’ve put a few of our favourites together for you to take a look at.

The mystery

Cube Escape: TheatreCube Escape: Theatre

Cube Escape: Theatre is the perfect game for all the adventure loving Android users out there. It’s the eighth and latest game in the Cube Escape series, a point-and-click mystery, that continues the unfolding of the Rusty Lake story. The player is required to step into Dale Vandermeer’s shoes, as he visits a theatre to watch a series of short plays. The point of the game is to navigate inside the cube to interact with objects and use them to unfold Rusty Lake mysteries one step at a time – it is trickier than it sounds, believe us.

Whilst it is lots of fun, be warned – you need to be patient!

The brain trainer

Brain TrainerRoll the Ball

Roll the Ball is quite possibly one of our favourite apps to pass the time, and it’s a great game to keep both adults and children entertained on an aeroplane or train this summer. It’s almost as easy as it sounds – you simply roll the ball to the exit. There are a ton of epic levels, no time limit and you can play offline (making it perfect for travels). Good luck.

The multiplayer strategy

SubterfugeSubterfuge

Subterfuge is by far one of the best strategy games on the market. The aim is to compete to extract Neptunium – a rare mineral. The first to mine 200 tons of Neptunium wins, but of course it’s not that straightforward and there are twists along the way, including the fact that the planet is covered in water…

What makes the game so unique is that it plays out in real-time over the course of a week. Although that means you do really have to commit! In order to strive to victory, the Subterfuge team advise you to check in a few times a day and master both strategy and diplomacy.

If you want to find out more, it’s worth taking a look at a few of the online tutorials or checking out the rulebook.

The nerdy puzzleAtomas

Atomas

Atomas is an addictive puzzle game with simple rules and endless fun; all about atoms, fusions and alchemy – so let’s hope you paid attention in school. This is not a hard game but if you want to win, you will need to be organized and have a good strategy. This is the best way to have fun while still learning something new every day, even if you’re on holiday. Enjoy…
