Goal+ is powered by Goal.com’s fast news, featuring interviews with the biggest names in football and bespoke integration of Opta performance data, providing fans with real-time visualisations and unique comparison tools for Europe’s major football leagues.
Goal+ has exclusive features for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, meaning fans can control their Tizen TV Goal+ app from their mobile and customise their Gear S2 smartwatch with the latest news and live scores.
As part of the agreement, Perform will collaborate with Samsung on UX enhancements by contextualising the benefits of Samsung devices across Goal.com, which reaches over 60m football fans globally every month.
To kick off the partnership, Goal’s correspondents are using Galaxy S7 smartphones and Gear 360 cameras to capture unique content, beginning at Euro 2016, with a view to further enhancing their coverage throughout the 2016/2017 season.
Martyn Jones, Global GM at Goal.com, commented: “We’re delighted to partner with Samsung and deliver a fantastic experience for football fans. The collaboration started two years ago with a clear objective to develop brilliant experiences that enhance fans enjoyment of the game. We wanted to focus on providing a more meaningful integration of Opta’s performance data, which I believe we’ve cracked. This partnership allows us to build scale, iterate the app concurrently with Samsung product advancements and create momentum ahead of the next championship year.”
Goal is the world’s biggest football media brand with over 60 million monthly unique users and 65 million social followers.
