Samsung opens Galaxy Note 7 pop-up stores in Amsterdam and Rotterdam

Samsung has opened two pop-up stores in the Netherlands — one in Amsterdam, and the other in Rotterdam — to give potential customers a taste of what its recently-announced flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 7, has to offer before its delayed launch in bricks-and-mortar stores on Friday, September 9.

Those who attend the pop-up stores will also have an opportunity to try out the brand new edition of the Gear VR in a rollercoaster simulator that looks like it’s guaranteed to make you vomit. It’s called Icarus and is essentially just a chair that rotates 360-degrees in sync to the video playing on the headset.

After playing around with the Galaxy Note 7, atendees will be given the option to pre-order the handset. If they choose to do so, they’ll have the facility to pick it up from the pop-up store first thing in the morning on September 9, which saves them the hassle of having to wait at home all day for the package to arrive.

If you’re based in either of the two cities and would like to head over to the pop-up stores, be sure to check out details below:
