Nokia buys the company bit-side GmbH

The Finnish company Nokia and the German bit-side GmbH announced today the signing of an agreement under which Nokia will acquire all the assets of bit-side GmbH. Bit-side is a private company based in Berlin, it is providing professional services and software development. The company is 39 people. With this purchase Nokia is going to strengthen and accelerate its development of mobile services for Nokia Maps.

As expected, the deal for the acquisition of bit-side GmbH will be completed in the first quarter of this year. The company bit-side GmbH after purchase will be integrated into the unit Nokia Services.
