Huawei to Provide CDMA Technology For Cox Communications' Wireless Network

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. ("Huawei"), a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, has been selected to provide its end to end CDMA solution and services to Cox Communications. Cox, the third-largest cable provider in the United States, will launch its 3G wireless network utilizing Huawei' s LTE-ready SingleRAN solution and industry-leading 3900 Series base stations.

"We are committed to enhancing the experience of our customers through the addition of wireless service to the Cox bundle," said Stephen Bye, Cox' s vice president of wireless. "In working closely with Huawei' s dedicated support team and through the use of its wireless technology and systems, we have made monumental strides in the development of our wireless network, enabling us to move quickly toward the launch of Cox' s wireless services."

Huawei is a recognized global industry leader in mobile communications infrastructure. Huawei' s major customers in North America include Leap Wireless, Telus and Bell Mobility. The latest network deployments in North America include Chicago, Milwaukee, etc. Huawei was also recently awarded the world' s first LTE contract by TeliaSonera.
