MTS acquired “[Multiregion]”
The operator of mobile connection MTS reported acquisition in the company Of cavolo Of traiding Of limited (Cyprus) 100% of joint-stock capital of the group of the companies of privately held company “[Multiregion]”, one of the Russian regional operators of wide-band Internet access and the cable television. The sum of transaction is $123,5 million. From the words MTS, it also picks up bills in size on the order of $94,4 million.
The group of companies “[Multiregion]” allows the services of wide-band Internet access and of the cable television in 37 cities of Russia. At present the network of company covers order 1,8 million house management, of them to 1,3 million is already supplied the infrastructure on the technology FTTB. “[Multiregion]” attends about 700,000 cable subscribers and 260,000 subscribers [SHPD].
Financial results “[Multiregiona]” will be consolidated into the account joint stock company “of MTS” since July 16, 2010.
