Motorola Mobility and TIM Announce Availability of Motorola XOOM™ and Motorola ATRIX™ in Brazil

Coming first to TIM is the Motorola ATRIX Vehicle Dock accessory that works with the phone’s built-in software for easy access to your information while on the road

SÃO PAULO – Motorola Mobility, Inc. and TIM announce the arrival of two highly anticipated products: Motorola XOOM™, the world’s first tablet with the Android™ 3.0 (Honeycomb) platform, and Motorola ATRIX™, the world's most powerful smartphone.

Both devices incorporate unprecedented computing power and performance with innovative designs and software, to provide today’s highly mobile consumers with an unmatched level of connectivity to the information and contacts they need on the go and at home.

Motorola ATRIX: The World’s Most Powerful Smartphone

Motorola ATRIX is the world’s most powerful smartphone, with a dual-core processor that is the fastest yet offered in a mobile phone. Motorola ATRIX, running on Android 2.2, is designed to essentially become a user’s primary digital hub to create, edit and interact with documents, media and content. This is facilitated by Motorola’s webtop application and incredible new accessories.

Coming first to TIM´s users is the Vehicle Dock, an accessory for Motorola ATRIX that works with the phone´s built-in software to provide easy access to your personal communication, entertainment and navigation information. The Vehicle Dock has a driver-friendly interface and voice-enabled search and dial, which provides full turn-by-turn navigation from Google Maps™ Navigation (beta).

Motorola XOOM: World’s First Tablet Featuring Android 3.0 Honeycomb

Motorola XOOM redefines the tablet device category by providing more ways to have fun, connect with friends and stay productive on the go. The first device to run on the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) platform, Motorola XOOM features a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM, front-facing and rear-facing cameras, true multitasking functionality and the latest Google services™ on a 10.1-inch (25.65cm) widescreen display.


The latest Google Mobile services include Google Maps 5.0™ with 3D interaction and access to more than 150,000 apps from Android Market™. Motorola XOOM also supports a beta version of Adobe® Flash® Player 10.2 downloadable from Android Market, enabling the delivery of rich Flash-based Web content including videos, casual games and Internet applications.


• Boasting a dual-core processor with each core running at 1GHz, delivering up to 2GHz of processing power
• High-definition (1280x800), 10.1-inch widescreen (16:10) display, perfect for watching HD video in landscape mode and narrow enough for convenient two-handed, on-screen typing in portrait mode

Motorola has been collaborating closely with innovative application partners across a variety of categories, including gaming, entertainment, and business productivity to optimize their applications for this new category of mobile computing devices.


Availability

The MOTOROLA ATRIX will be available at all the main TIM stores from the second half of April for 12 installments of R$ 160. Consumers changing to the company and opting for the TIM Liberty plan, – which offers unlimited local calls and unlimited long distance calls (using the 41 code) to other TIM numbers – will pay R$ 199 a month for one year, which includes the discounted monthly rate (R$ 39) and the installment for the device. Users will also be able to navigate on the smartphone with the new Liberty Web Smart plan, offering unlimited Internet access for R$ 29.90, payable only in the months the user accesses the Internet.

The MOTOROLA XOOM will soon be available at all the main TIM stores. The price has yet to be defined. For a better navigation experience with the device, TIM clients can contract the Liberty Web Tablet data plan. The plan offers unlimited access and in the launch promotion costs R$ 49.90 a month, valid for a year.
