Pantech reveals ‘Vega Secret UP’
Pantech has revealed their last smart phone of this year, Vega Secret UP. The strong point of the phone is its sound features.
Pantech held a meeting at their company building in Sangam-dong on the 3rd (KST) and revealed the 5.6 inch wide ‘Vega Secret UP’. All three domestic mobile carriers will be releasing them but the price is yet to be determined.
Competing with other smart phones, Pantech focused on reinforcing sound features and function on this phone. They first emphasized sound features by installing ‘Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC), 24bit/192KHz’ and qualcomm’s ‘DRE (Dynamic Range Enhancement)’.
If a user attaches the flip phone case called ‘sound case’ to the phone, it works as a speaker that amplifies the sound by vibrating differently to different sounds and volume. According to the company, the case able to amplify sounds like a concert hall, providing a high quality sound.
The case will be sold separately and the price yet to be determined. Pantech will offer free cases to the first 20,000 customers that purchase Vega Secret UP.
Also Pantech had applied privacy protecting display so that others cannot see what the user is doing on the phone from the side.
The phone’s size is 151.4x76.4x9.5mm, weighs 173g for the black one and 174g for the white one. Basic features include, Google Android 4.2.2 OS, qualcomm snapdragon 800 (2.3GHz) processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB Memory, 1,300 megapixel camera, 5.6 inch full HD (1920x1080) display and 3,150mAh battery.
The finger verification feature for privacy purpose from the previous model ‘Vega Secret Note’ will be used on the new phone as well.
