Virgin Mobile USA Partners With LG Mobile Phones in The Re*Generation Movement To End Youth Homelessness

Artist-Designed One of a Kind Aloha(TM) by LG Phones to be Auctioned Off in November at The RE*Generation Auction and Benefit in New York City to Benefit Charitable Partners

WARREN, N.J., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Virgin Mobile USA, Inc. , a top provider of no-annual-contract wireless phone services, in conjunction with LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A., Inc. (LG Mobile Phones), announced today the debut of six specially commissioned hand-painted Aloha(TM) by LG handsets to help bring a voice to the issue of homeless youth. These one-of-a-kind handsets have been designed by a specially commissioned group of emerging and established visual artists in support of the first annual "National Homeless Youth Awareness Month" this November.

These extraordinary and unique phones will be auctioned off as part of The RE*Generation Gallery 2007 Auction and Benefit (http://www.regenerationgallery.com/virgin2007/auction_party.html) on November 7 at the Skylight Gallery in New York City. This auction is part of several activities highlighting the Congressional declaration of "National Homeless Youth Awareness Month." The following artists have designed these handsets specifically with The Re*Generation in mind: Daniel Davidson, Caroline Hwang, Rich Jacobs, Greg Lamarche and Eric White. Aloha(TM) by LG phones will be made available to guests at the auction to listen to pre-recorded messages from The RE*Generation artists describing their inspiration for each piece of art. Proceeds from this and other activities will benefit Virgin Mobile USA's charitable partners, StandUp For Kids, Children's Health Fund and YouthNoise.

Building on the debut of the Aloha(TM) by LG handset, this new relationship with LG Mobile Phones is rooted in Virgin Mobile USA's pro-social initiative to raise awareness of the plight of at-risk and homeless youth called The RE*Generation (www.virginmobileusa.com/regeneration).

"We are impressed and gratified with LG Mobile Phones' dedication in joining our efforts to raise awareness about this national crisis. The RE*Generation commissioned artists offer their personal depictions on the Aloha(TM) by LG handsets of what it's like to be alone and living on the fringe for millions of homeless youth," said Dan Schulman, CEO of Virgin Mobile USA.

"LG Mobile Phones is proud to join Virgin Mobile USA on this endeavor to help raise awareness regarding homeless youth in America," said Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president of product strategy and marketing, LG Mobile Phones. "Today's youth is the future of this country."

The one of a kind Aloha(TM) by LG handsets will be displayed at this Fall's CTIA 2007 Mobile Focus press event in San Francisco on October 23.
