Catcher lands handset case orders from international handset vendor
Magnesium-alloy case maker Catcher Technology acknowledged recently that it has landed handset case orders from an international handset vendor with shipments to begin in the second quarter of this year. However, the company declined to reveal the name of the new client.
Sources at securities houses in Taipei speculated that the new case orders could have come from either Nokia or High Tech Computer (HTC).
With new orders on hand, Catcher expects its revenues to stage a robust growth on quarter starting from the second quarter with February revenues likely to be the lowest for the company this year, according to company sources.
In other news, the company reported that it posted consolidated revenues of NT$1.44 billion (US$45.4 million) in January, compared to NT$1.2 billion in December and NT$2.17 billion in November of 2007.
