Cupid Lets His Wireless Arrow Fly with AT&T and 1-800-FLOWERS.COM

Wireless Customers Can Order Flowers Through AT&T Mobile Web and Send Free Animated Floral Bouquets to Loved Ones From Wireless Multimedia Store

In time for Valentine's Day, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) and 1-800-FLOWERS.COM (NASDAQ: FLWS), the world's largest florist and a leading multichannel retailer, today announced a Cupid Goes Wireless campaign. The program enables AT&T wireless subscribers to order flowers through a mobile Web application. Customers can send free animated floral bouquets from 1-800-FLOWERS.COM to friends and family through AT&T's Multimedia store.

AT&T's wireless subscribers are invited to place flower orders via the 1-800-FLOWERS.COM store through AT&T's MEdia™ Net mobile Web service. Subscribers can also elect to receive free special occasion flower-ordering reminders via text messaging and send free animated floral bouquets to sweethearts, friends and family through AT&T's Multimedia store. They are also encouraged to enter for a chance to win a $50 1-800-FLOWERS.COM gift card. A total of 100 gift cards will be awarded.

The program, which launches Friday, Feb. 1, is AT&T's first integrated mobile marketing agreement with an advertiser. The companies worked collaboratively to develop the customized Cupid Goes Wireless campaign to connect 1-800-FLOWERS.COM with wireless subscribers in an innovative, fresh and relevant way.

"Through our agreement with 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, AT&T is making it easier than ever for customers to create a special Valentine's Day for their significant others, family and friends," said Mark Collins, vice president of Consumer Data for AT&T's wireless unit. "With the ability to easily order flowers from wireless handsets while on the go and receive text message reminders about special occasions, this program provides a new and convenient way for customers to blend their daily lives with their mobile appetites — at no additional cost. Additionally, the innovative animated floral bouquets are a great way to let others know that you are thinking about them, whether you want to impress a new love interest or simply tell a friend or family member that you care."

"Our partnership with AT&T is a great way to reach new customers with a convenient mobile shopping experience that helps them connect and express themselves to the important people in their lives," said Monica Woo, president, Consumer Floral Brand, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM. "Also, we are excited about engaging younger consumers with the immediacy and easy access to our store, as well as a whole new offering of fun animated floral bouquets that can be sent over the wireless handset. The mobile platform is important to our business, and we are thrilled to team with AT&T to leverage our merchandising experience in a direction that fits so naturally with our customers' interests."

In addition to placing flower orders, customers are encouraged to send animated flower greetings that can include a personal message. The free service uses AT&T's My Veepers™ Messaging, which allows users to create personalized, animated talking greetings. Customers can choose from a gallery of flower greetings or make their own by uploading an image from their computer to create a personal character. Visit www.att.myveepers.com and click on Talking Animations to join the fun.
