China market: Nearly 35 million GSM, CDMA handsets sold in 3Q08

A total of 34.97 million GSM and CDMA handsets were sold in the China market in the third quarter of 2008, and Nokia, Samsung and Motorola were the top-three vendors with a combined share of 66.3%, according to Analysys International.

For CDMA models alone, Samsung was the largest vendor with a market share of 26.9%, followed by Huawei Technologies with 23.3%, ZTE with 16.0% and LG Electronics with 13.9%, Analysys indicated.
