TomTom submitted online route planner

C proliferation of online tools like Google Maps navigation problem finding the right address for the user's global network has been virtually resolved. But the emergence of new such services can not but rejoice - for example, the company TomTom has announced a new route planner available at routes.tomtom.com. This free online planner allows users to define the optimal route and to establish the exact time in transit and arrival before the start of the trip. In the first phase of launch Route Planner will be available to a limited number of users who will participate in the beta test, which will begin this week.

Scheduled TomTom gives users detailed instructions from door to door to any address, taking into account the real and «historic» picture of traffic throughout the day. The solution combines information about the traffic in real time (not available in all countries) and 500 billion record for average speed on roads all over the world (using IQ Routes). As a result, users are planning to travel time based on facts, not on anticipation, getting a more accurate time on the road. In addition, all corrected maps made by users via a Map Share is regularly filled in the planner, which makes the routes most accurate and relevant.

Depending on the success of beta, a planner Route Planner will gradually be made available to all users. Currently planner is available in six languages, including Dutch, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
