New designs are presented in 250 GB, 320 GB, 400 GB and 500 GB. This generation of external drives is a very compact size: 15mm (height), 83.5 mm (width) and 137.5 mm (length) and low weight (175g), ie a new compact storage at 30% lighter than previous models series.

New external hard drives HandyDrive can receive the necessary food directly via USB 2.0. They do not need batteries and any additional sources of food. They are compatible with the version of USB 1.1.

The company Fujitsu has equipped its new external hard drives HandyDrive software, which includes a utility to password-protect data, prevent unauthorized access, and a special tool Acronis True Image Personal HDD to quickly back up data from your computer. Both utilities (password protection and backup program), supported by seven European languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

New models of external storage capacity of 320 GB HandyDrive 400Gb and will appear in the region EMEA (Europe / Middle East / Africa) at the end of January 2009 for the suggested retail price of 85 € (320 GB) and 119 € (400 GB), respectively. Drives to 250 GB versions, and 500 GB will go on sale in mid-February 2009 at the suggested retail price of 75 € and 129 € respectively.
