License Agreement with IDC

On January 14, 2009, Samsung Electronics reached a patent license agreement for using
2G and 3G mobile technology with Interdigital Inc.,(IDC).
Details
- Purpose of the license agreement: To acquire license for IDC’s patent on 2G and 3G mobile telecommunication
- Royalty payments: US$ 400 million
- Duration of license period : 2G products –Perpetual; 3G products – Through 2012
