(NYSE: MOT) today announced that Orkin Inc., one of the country’s leading pest and termite control service providers, has equipped more than 1800 of its commercial field specialists with Motorola’s rugged MC70 Enterprise Digital Assistants (EDA) to improve and streamline its customer service. By leveraging a Motorola enterprise mobility solution, Orkin is now able to capture and exchange business-critical information according to its enterprise demands and remain a leader in the industry.
With more than 400 locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia, Orkin is one of the largest providers of pest management services in North America. The company selected Motorola’s MC70 EDA to enhance the quality of service by timely capture of data for its commercial customers, which ultimately enhances the overall customer experience. With Motorola’s flexible enterprise mobility solution, Orkin field specialists not only have the technology needed to improve their overall performance, but are equipped with a rugged mobile computer designed to withstand the rigors of everyday use.
