Report: iPhone may be coming to Verizon in 2010
The iPhone may be coming to Verizon as early as next year.
New York-based Verizon and Apple are in talks to make the iPhone available on the Verizon network in 2010, according to USA Today.
"High-level" discussions started a few months ago between Verizon and Apple management, sources told the newspaper.
Apple, which unveiled the iPhone exclusively with AT&T in the United States, has made their popular product available in Europe through Vodafone. In the United States, Vodafone's associated undertaking operates as Verizon Wireless.
A deal with Verizon would give Apple access to its 80 million customers, including millions in New York City and on Long Island.
