Taiwan market: Asustek sees on-year notebook shipment growth of 15% in 1Q09

Asustek Computer's notebook shipments for the first quarter of 2009 grew 15% on year in the Taiwan market despite the economic decline. The company forecast Eee PC shipments in Taiwan during April have a chance to reach 16,000-17,000 units, double the shipments of a year ago.

During Softex Taipei (April 9-13), Asustek plans to push its Eee PC S121, a pink version of its Eee PC 1000HE and the 3.5-inch P835 3G smartphone.
