Taiwan market: Chunghwa Telecom sees net profit of almost NT$15 billion for January-April

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has reported a net profit of NT$3.91 billion (US$117 million) for April 2009, with January-April net profit of NT$14.69 billion translating into net earnings per share (EPS) of NT$1.52.

CHT had about 1.24 million FTTx (fiber to the home/building) subscribers and 470,000 8Mbps ADSL subscribers at the end of April 2009, the company indicated.

Taiwan Mobile (TWM) and Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET), have also released their financial figures for April 2009.
