Taiwan market: WiMAX operator to offer mobile TV service, says paper
Taiwan-based WiMAX operator Tatung InfoComm will team up with Era Digital Media, an affiliate of Taiwan Land Development Corporation, to step into Internet and mobile TV segments in Taiwan optimizing Tatung's WiMAX networks, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
The Tatung-Era team also plans to offer WiMAX services to the industrial zones developed by Taiwan Land Development in central and southern parts of Taiwan, the paper added.
In other news, Tatung will hold an opening ceremony on July 8 in Kaohsiung to mark the inauguration of its commercial WiMAX services in the southern port city.
