Foxlink to set up R&D center in Dongguan Songshan Lake Science Park, says paper
Taiwan-based connector and handset maker Foxlink will invest NT$9.4 billion (US$291 million) to set up a R&D center at the Dongguan Songshan Lake Science and Technology Industry Park in Guangdong, China, the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) quoted a top official of the park administration as indicating.
Four other Taiwan-based companies, Supreme Electronics, Oculon Optoelectronic, Bcom Electronics and Acarps Technology, also plan to sign contracts with the park administration in December 2009 to sett up factories within the park. Each company will commit at least 100 million yuan (US$14.64 million) in investment capital, the paper added.
