Set a new speed record in 3G
Web mobile broadband HSPA continues to improve. In a world of constantly increasing demand for speed, industry leaders are doing everything to upgrade their networks to provide users with more services of higher quality. Australian operator Telstra was among the operators who attended the demonstration of its technology Ericsson mobile broadband, HSPA Evolution at the speed of 42 Mbit / sec near Stockholm, Sweden.
In this first in the world, the data rate was achieved in a commercially feasible product. Until then, consumers could count on the maximum speed of 28 Mbps in the network HSPA.
As states Ericsson, increasing the speed will allow each user to feel what a real "instant access". New technology with the two carriers can be realized by upgrading the software alone, while the rate for users is growing at twice the entire range of a wireless cell network, including users of the service area on the border of one hundred, where the overall network performance, as a rule always lower. It also increases throughput, and operators can deliver the user more gigabytes of traffic through each base station, resulting in reduced cost of providing services to mobile broadband network.
Tradable hardware and software used with the first commercial chipset supporting technology transfer at speeds of 42 Mbps with two carriers. Average speed of loading of the network to the user, reached during the technology demonstration, reached an impressive 41.5 Mbps.
42 Mbit / sec - this is the peak value of network speed in the downlink. The real speed of loading the user are less important and depends on the degree of network congestion, distance from the base station, the local conditions of radio wave propagation, hardware, software implementation, as well as other factors.
