Attn. Dallas/Fort Worth: Nominate an outstanding adult or young person you know for the Sprint Community Champions Program
DALLAS --Sprint (NYSE: S) announced that it is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Sprint Community Champions Program. The program, now in its second year, celebrates the hard work and dedication of two Dallas/Fort Worth residents - one adult and one high-school student - who have helped better the community through volunteering and other forms of community service. The Sprint Foundation will award a grant to the local eligible charity of each honoree's choice.
Nominations for the Sprint Community Champions Program will be accepted between now and Monday, May 17, 2010, at www.sprint.com/communitychampion. The two selected individuals will be notified by early August, and grants in these individuals' names will be awarded to qualifying organizations of their choice by the end of the year.
The Sprint Community Champions Program recognizes one adult and one high-school student who have made positive impacts on the people and organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth community. The Adult Champion will have a $5,000 Sprint Foundation grant donated in his or her name to a qualified non-profit organization of his or her choice. The Youth Champion will have a $2,500 Sprint Foundation grant donated in his or her name to a qualified non-profit organization of his or her choice. Eligible individuals for both the Adult Champion and the Youth Champion must reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area (Collin, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise counties).
