NEW YORK --Sprint (NYSE: S) announced that it is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Sprint Community Champions Program. The program, now in its second year, celebrates the hard work and dedication of two New York City residents - one adult and one high-school student - who have helped better the community through volunteering and other forms of community service. The Sprint Foundation will award a grant to the local eligible charity of each honoree's choice.
Nominations for the Sprint Community Champions Program will be accepted between now and Monday, May 17, 2010, at www.sprint.com/communitychampion. The two selected individuals will be notified by early August, and grants in these individuals' names will be awarded to qualifying organizations of their choice by the end of the year.
