China Mobile emphasizes TD-LTE technology in latest equipment procurement, say Taiwan makers

China Mobile Communications, the largest mobile telecom carrier in China, has invited open bids for supply of equipment for fourth-phase expansion of its TD-SCDMA network, according to Taiwan-based networking/communication equipment makers. Evaluation of suppliers will emphasize candidates' capabilities and road maps for the development of TD-LTE, the next-generation TD-SCDMA in line with the international 4G LTE technology.
