HTC hires former Sony Ericsson veterans as top executives
HTC has appointed former Sony Ericsson executives Ron Louks and Kouji Kodera as chief strategy officer and chief product officer, respectively.
Meanwhile, HTC veteran Chen Wenjun will serve as chief of research and development, and vice-president for North America Jason Mackenzie was promoted to president of North and Latin America.
Vice-president of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Florian Seiche was promoted to president for the region.
In related news, the board of directors recently approved plans to purchase an office building in the UK as its base of operations in Europe for GBP11.3 million (US$17.64 million).
