The 6th M-days: “The Home of Mobile” was held in Frankfurt on January 27-28 with the Ericsson IPX stand attracting a great deal of attention.
The mobile sector is booming in Frankfurt and this is one of the most important mobile events in Germany, with over 3,000 participants and exhibitors from 94 countries. There were 160 speakers and all lectures were very well attended.
Peter Garside, Head of Ericsson IPX in Western and Central Europe, delivered a keynote speech about mobile communication, trends and fragmentation as well as payment solutions in the mobile world.
IPX also showcased how consumers can pay for items out of vending machines simply and quickly using their mobile phones instead of cash or credit cards. This naturally attracted a lot of attention at the event with mobile and vending operators interested in the possibility of launching mobile payment and vending in Germany!
